Transverse flute repairs

Our master workshop offers a repair service for the transverse flutes we make. This includes minor reworking, repairs to cracks, replacement of damaged rings and even a complete overhaul. For example:

Complete overhaul of a transverse flute

• Cleaning key(s) and body
• Checking the body for cracks/damage
• Checking, reworking and polishing the inner bore
• Replacing pads/felt/cork
• Replacing axel pins if necessary
• Oiling wood
• Applying new thread windings
• Checking intonation and correcting tuning if necessary
• Replacing the tuning cork
